I can’t believe it’s the end of school and we are READY! Bring on summer! The boys had a field day and Channing can’t let me take a picture of them without her in it.

The new mailbox
We got a box at the UPS store while in the rental because our landlords still needed their address for awhile when we moved in. We hadn’t checked it yet and when we finally picked up our mail, there was a package waiting. Check out Channing’s cute new apron from Grammy and Grumpy.

Two night/three days
We had two nights and three full days on the beach in South Padre. Since I had not approved posting swimsuit pictures of the girls on my blog, I better not go overboard. How about our toes in the sand? It was a great trip and I didn’t have to jump start into reality this time. We got back Sunday night and Monday was Memorial Day so Stefan was home.

It’s not fair
It’s really not fair to get two vacations in one month without kids but I’m certainly not complaining. The weather was perfect. A little cool in the shade but hot in the full sun. We talked and read and enjoyed a weekend just relaxing.

South Padre Girls Weekend
Stefan went to Big Bend with the guys in the middle of April and told me I could plan a girls trip. It just so happened that the only weekend we could come up with to go was Memorial Day weekend so we took it. I dropped the kids off early Friday morning at Vicki’s and we headed to the beach. We were still talking at 2pm that afternoon when we got on the beach. Love these girls!

The big boy bed
I was thrilled to find new beds for the big boys on Craig’s list with drawers underneath. I wasn’t looking for a bed with drawers underneath but in this house it’s a necessity because the boys don’t have a closet. With new beds for Hadley and Linden it meant that we finally had a bed for Gibson to use. He transitioned easily into his big boy bed and was pretty proud of it.

Little Ms. Chatterbox
She is very serious in her conversations. It doesn’t even matter that I have the camera out snapping pictures. It’s non-stop these days.

School program
Gary came for the boys Spring Program where they showed how much they had learned through the year. Each class also had their own chance to shine. It took a lot of preparation but the boys did great. We were glad Gary could be there.

My birthday
Stefan worked hard the weekend of my birthday to try and get the majority of the boxes unpacked and put away. It was the best present he could give me. Of course he didn’t stop there though and I was woken up by cards and presents in bed Sunday morning.

End of the year party
Channing had her last day of preschool and they had a bounce house. She really loved getting her turn in it.

The helmet
Hadley was in need of a new bike helmet and somehow he talked Grammy into buying one for him. This is the one he picked out that they had to order because they couldn’t find one like it after going to 4 separate stores. Too bad it’s 100 degrees here and the helmet is enormous and hot. However, he was pretty proud of it and has worn it even when I’m sure sweat is dripping down his neck from it.

The last day
The last time at the house. The kids were over it as were Stefan and I. I guess it’s good that moving was such a difficult task or else we might have lingered longer. It doesn’t mean I won’t miss our time there or the babies in this picture that are growing bigger every day.

Breakfast at Bear Moon
Saturday morning Stefan went back to the house to start cleaning up and bring a load back in the suburban and the kids and I drove 3 blocks to main street to grab breakfast at the Bear Moon Bakery. It’s small town living at it’s finest. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast goodies they picked out.

Home sweet rental home
We’ve already brought down the neighborhood. Seriously, this is what the house looked like 5 hours after we moved in. The sad thing is that we don’t really make them pick up their scooters and bikes every time we leave. I’m not sure how all the neighbors feel about us. It’s like a party in the cul-de-sac at all times.

The last night
Our last night as backdoor neighbors with the Jones’. We stayed up too late, and shirked our packing duties, but it was well worth it for a picnic on the floor and a friendly wii dance off.

The belated celebration
We tend to celebrate the kids birthdays with Gary and Vicki at Freddy’s. Ice cream is the big treat after dinner. This time Linden wanted his ice cream in a cone which proved a little tricky when adding 6 candles.

Sick boy
There is not a lot we can do about a fever virus but it’s hard when the boys only go to school 2 days a week to be missing school plus this virus would come for a day, then be gone and then come back. Once we got medicine in him he perked right up but the fever did knock him out for a bit.

Back to life
After having a great trip we got right back into life. I have help again in everything I do but this time it’s a little bittersweet because it may be the last time Channing is helping me bake in this kitchen.

Our last day on the ship
Technically this picture was taken on Saturday not Sunday but there are only so many picture you can take of the two of us reading books and taking naps.

Butterflies
It’s been a long time since I’ve had butterflies out of excitement but that’s how I felt walking onto the ship for our cruise. Stefan and I both were so excited about the chance to just hang out and relax for several days without any responsibilities. Here we are before leaving the dock.

One on one time
Channing and Gibson don’t often get to pick out the books they want to read much less get read to in a one on one setting. With Grammy and Grumpy in town though and school going on for the bigger boys, they took advantage. I’m pretty sure Karen and Phil both had a handful of books memorized in a just a few hours time.

The birthday gift
Don’t you love friends who know your kids well? Sarah bought a big bottle of vinegar and a huge box of baking soda because she thought Linden would have fun mixing the two together and making potions. The boys all enjoyed it.
